In early 2000, on the recommendation of a close friend, Ersin began his training at Driftwood Martial Arts. With a strong pull towards the military aspects of the training combined with the artistic interpretation inherent to karate, Ersin has focused his years of training perfecting his skills and defining his character. In July of 2008 Renshi Adette Rice promoted Ersin to the rank of Shodan.

Ersin is and has always been the dojo’s greatest advocate, telling all who will listen about the benefits of martial arts training. Through his consistent, focused training regime, Ersin is a role model to the younger students and lower ranks as well as to his peers, who admire his dedication and effort.

As an academic Ersin has excelled in his studies and has competed on chess and computer science teams. In the competitive arena he as had successes in not only martial arts but in soccer, rugby and wrestling. With his desire to achieve, his steadfast commitment to everything he does and his love and dedication to his family, Ersin is destined for great things.
